About the Role
Cornwall Council is seeking a qualified and experienced Adult Social Worker to join our dedicated team based in Liskeard.
This is a temporary, full-time role focused on supporting adults in the East Cornwall area, covering Launceston, Callington, and Gunnislake.
You will carry out face-to-face assessments, work with multi-agency teams, and provide tailored support planning to individuals with a wide range of care needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Mental Capacity Assessments
- Undertake Section 42 Safeguarding Enquiries
- Complete Needs Assessments and Support Plans
- Engage in court-related social work when required
- Perform face-to-face visits (minimum 2 days per week)
- Manage your caseload efficiently, with write-ups and administrative tasks completed remotely
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration (e.g. SWE)
- Previous experience in adult care and safeguarding
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and procedures
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
- Access to your own vehicle and ability to travel across East Cornwall
- Smart/casual dress code
