Job Description:

COOK REQUIRED - EDUCATION SETTING

We are looking to appoint an outstanding Cook with experience in food preparation, ideally within an environment serving children and young people.

The position will be based in a busy school in Penzance.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, a positive and enthusiastic approach, and a genuine passion for making a difference. A commitment to inclusion and supporting young people is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook all academy meals efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintain a clean, safe, well-stocked and well-organised kitchen.
• Provide nutritious, balanced meals and healthy menu choices.
• Promote pupils' independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.
• Ensure all food hygiene and health & safety standards are maintained.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous cooking and food preparation experience.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safe working practices.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A caring and inclusive approach when working within an educational environment

The Role is 30 Hours per week, PRO RATA SALARY ABOVE SO WILL BE £18004-£18582
