Job Description:
Our client a multi academy trust is seeking a caretaker to join their team on an permanent basis covering 3 academies across St Austell - Liskeard
Enhanced DBS child barring is required.
ASAP start
What we offer:
- FTE £27,316 - £30,145 (Actual Salary Range) £14,765 - £16,294
- Monday - Friday - 2pm - 6pm - 52 weeks a year
- 20H per week
- Permanent role.
- Company van provided.
The role:
- Caretaking and maintenance of the school sites to the required standard, to include compliance checks, general repairs, low level grounds maintenance and portering.
- Carpentry / General maintenance skill set desirable to assist with daily repairs and maintenance.
- Keyholder responsibilities including call out in emergencies and locking and unlocking routines.
- Performance of caretaking and maintenance tasks as directed by your Line manager or the principal.
- Supporting and assisting school staff with provision of required equipment, i.e. tables, chairs, flip charts etc.
Requirements:
- Must be able to drive and have your own vehicle.
- Must have an indate enhanced DBS - Child barring.
- Some tools are provided but would be beneficial if you have your own.
- Safety boots required.
- Experience of maintenance.
- Basic understanding of electrical work, carpentry and plumbing.
- IT Literate - To be able to use teams and systems which reports defects.
