Administrator – Temporary to Permanent Opportunity - DBS Required
St Austell, Cornwall
Office-based
Monday to Friday, 9-5
Weekly pay every Friday during the temporary period
We're currently recruiting for an Administrator to join a well-established, family-run company based in St Austell. The business specialises in supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and provides its services across the whole of Cornwall, with St Austell acting as the main administration hub.
This is initially a 3-month temporary contract, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right person.

The Role
- Answering incoming phone calls and dealing with enquiries professionally.
- Booking appointments over the phone.
- General administrative duties, including updating records and managing paperwork.
- Liaising with parents and carers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Working closely with Liaison Officers to ensure appointments and information are communicated effectively.
- Providing day-to-day administrative support to the wider team.
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, confident, and happy to use their own initiative. You'll be comfortable speaking with people over the phone and able to manage your workload without needing constant supervision.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous administration or office experience is essential
- Excellent communication and telephone skills.
- You will need to have a DBS in place, dated within 6 months or on the update service covering Child and Adult Workforce. DBS paid for, for the right person.
- Confidence when speaking with parents and professionals.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to prioritise your workload and work independently.
- A positive, reliable, and professional attitude.
