About the Role:
An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a skilled and passionate Spa Therapist to join our prestigious riverside hotel and spa in beautiful Cornwall. You will be part of a professional, supportive, and friendly team dedicated to creating a serene and rejuvenating experience for every guest
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily spa operations, ensuring a seamless and luxurious guest experience across all areas
• Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and safety throughout the spa, pool, and wellness facilities
• Lead, motivate, and support a team of Spa Hosts and Therapists to deliver exceptional service and achieve business objectives
• Conduct regular stock counts, manage stock levels, and order supplies to maintain optimal par levels
• Monitor and promote spa treatments, packages, memberships, and retail sales to achieve revenue and retention targets
• Engage with members to maintain an 80% retention rate, developing initiatives to encourage repeat visits and participation
• Conduct spa tours for VIPs, journalists, and prospective members, acting as an ambassador for the spa brand
• Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring client satisfaction and alignment with company policy
• Ensure all health & safety procedures, pool operations, and legal requirements are strictly adhered to
• Manage staff rosters, inductions, appraisals, training, and performance development in collaboration with the General Manager
• Participate in promotional events, retreats, and corporate wellness activities to drive engagement and growth
• Act as Duty Manager on a rota basis, overseeing daily operations and ensuring smooth running of all spa business centres
Requirements
• Previous experience as a Spa Manager or Assistant Spa Manager in a luxury or high-end environment – essential
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
• Excellent communication, organisation, and administrative abilities with keen attention to detail
• Knowledge of spa operations, treatments, memberships, and retail management
• Proactive, reliable, and hands-on approach with a passion for wellness and guest satisfaction
• Strong IT skills and experience managing schedules, stock systems, and reporting
• Ability to always maintain professionalism and discretion

Working Hours
Spa operates daily from 9:30am to 6:00pm
Shifts typically run from 9:00am to 6:00pm
Full-time position with flexibility required for weekend and Duty Management shifts
