Job Description:

Social Worker (Children & Family Services)

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Social Worker to join our Children & Family Services team on a 3-month temporary placement. You will provide support and intervention for vulnerable children and families, helping to ensure their safety, stability, and long-term wellbeing.

Key Details:

Pay rate: £19.70 per hour

Start date: Monday 10th November

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.45am – 5.15pm

Contract: 3-month temporary placement

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the Primary Worker for cases involving Children in Need, Children Looked After, and those in need of protection.

Contribute to the protection of children by assessing risk and delivering appropriate support services.

Work directly with children, families, and carers to promote positive outcomes and permanency.

Undertake comprehensive assessments of prospective foster and adoptive carers.

Prepare professional reports and attend reviews, case conferences, court hearings, and planning meetings.

Ensure all statutory and professional requirements are met in line with legislation and Department of Health guidance.

Manage financial arrangements related to allocated cases.

About You:

Qualified Social Worker (CQSW or equivalent).

Experience working with children and families.

Strong knowledge of the Children Act and relevant legislation.

Able to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.

Access to a vehicle and ability to travel within the county.
