Description

My client has an urgent requirement for a deputy manager to join their busy team, working in partnership with senior manager to ensure the smooth day to day running of the nursery operation, in line with company and government legislation, as well as all h&s guidelines.

You wirll be offering support and guidance to develop secure relationship with parent and other external bodies. You will act as a role model in the implementation of activities and in interaction with both children and adults.

You will report to the Manager, raising any issues relating to the nursery and cover when manager is away , you will be managing staff absence include holiday and sickness, ensuring your branch has an adequate team of supply personnel to support your permanent bank of staff.

Essential skills / experience required:
- Min of 2yrs experience working at this level or 2yrs other suitable experience
- NNEB Diploma / CACHE Level 3, NVQ 3 or equivalent
- Experience of leading a team
- Extensive knowledge of EYFS
- Knowledge and understanding of the Code of Practice on SEN
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

Desirable skills include:
- Experience with children with Special Education Needs
- Business and financial management awareness
- A higher level qualification in Early Years Childcare and Education / Childhood studies.
