Job Description:
My client a successful roofing company who specialises in all aspects of roofing but predominantly flat roofing are seeking a confident worker in Felt and Liquids to join their team to cover projects throughout Cornwall and Devon.
What we offer:
- Monday - Friday
- £40,000 per annum
- 8am-4/5pm
- Permanent
The role:
- Inspect roofs to determine the best repair or replacement solutions.
- Install new roofs using appropriate materials
- Repair damaged roofs and replace broken or missing tiles or slates.
- Measure and cut roofing materials to fit around obstacles such as chimneys and vents.
- Ensure all installations comply with building codes and safety regulations.
- Operate hand and power tools used in roofing.
- Remove old roofing materials and debris from job sites.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate with clients and team members regarding project progress and concerns.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a roofer or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of different roofing systems, materials, and techniques.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials and tools.
- Familiarity with safety guidelines and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Valid driver’s licence
- CSCS card.
