An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially driven General Manager to take the lead at a highly distinctive hospitality venue on the North Cornwall coast.
This is far more than a traditional General Manager position. The successful candidate will have genuine ownership of the operation, with responsibility for people, performance, commercial results and the overall direction of the business.
The Opportunity
The General Manager will have overall responsibility for the site, ensuring the operation delivers exceptional customer experiences while achieving ambitious commercial targets.
This is a highly visible role, requiring a leader who is equally comfortable on the floor, in the numbers and in the boardroom.
You will be responsible for:
- Taking full ownership of the site's day-to-day operation and commercial performance
- Driving revenue, profitability and sustainable business growth
- Setting and managing budgets, targets and KPIs
- Monitoring P&L performance, labour costs, purchasing and overall cost control
- Leading, developing and motivating a diverse hospitality team
- Managing recruitment, contracts, performance and staffing requirements
- Introducing structure, accountability and clear performance standards
- Ensuring consistently high operational, service and customer experience standards
- Identifying new revenue opportunities across dining, events and the wider operation
- Building strong relationships with customers, suppliers, stakeholders and the local community
- Playing a key role in shaping and delivering the next stage of the business strategy

This is a unique beachfront hospitality operation in Cornwall, combining food, drink, events, live entertainment and an exceptional coastal setting.
The business attracts an unusually broad customer base, from local families and the surrounding community to surfers, tourists, event guests and high-profile clientele.
With dining, private events, weddings, corporate functions and live entertainment all forming part of the operation, the successful General Manager will be overseeing a varied and commercially exciting business.

This opportunity is suited to a proven General Manager, who has successfully managed a substantial and complex operation.
