Job Description:
Our client a British manufacturer of agricultural machinery is seeking a full time plasma operative to join their established team.
What we offer:
- £13.89 per hour
- Monday – Thursday – 06:30 – 16.45.
- Full-time permanent position.
The role:
- Operation of CNC Plasma, lifting and moving equipment and associated hand tools to move stock raw materials and large components.
- Produce components according to strict guidelines, designs and technical drawings and instructions.
- Meet the expected standards of accuracy, efficiency, quality and output as set by the Company.
- Perform daily operational checks on machinery and tools; identify and report any defects.
- Determine appropriate methods of working, based on requirements and use equipment needed according to strict safety standards.
- Ensure the flow of correct parts through Shop 1 into appropriate areas.
- Ensure that the quantity for the job card matches the finished quantity of parts and highlight any shortages to Supervisor.
- Maintain tools and equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Help in the unloading and moving of raw materials within the workshop.
Requirements:
- Experience of operating a CNC Plasma; adjusting settings and monitoring the machine to ensure quality control.
- Experience of using overhead cranes, magnets and other lifting and moving equipment to move sheets and parts.
- Experience of using a variety of electrical and hand tools and associated equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documents to check and inspect finished components for defects.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively.
- Safety boots required.
